The late, great, Townes Van Zandt observed "there's just two kinds of music, - The Blues and Zippity Doo Dah. This ain't Zippity Doo Dah."

Marcelle is transcribing issues of the McKinney Maze for the benefit of McKinney Researchers. Check back often! ( I have fixed the guestbook, finally. It's a new one with protection from spammers. Please feel free to sign and view it.)

The McKinney Maze was a newsletter published as a collection of articles and research by various McKinney researchers around the country. This web site was conceived by Marcelle McKinney Lewis, in order to make the older paper copies available for research online. The web site is designed and maintained by Beryl Reid. Marcelle and Beryl are connected by their kinship to Johnson McKinney, b. 1764 in VA, migrated to Franklin county, Alabama and died in 1852. His son, Houston is shown in the photo at the top of the page. Click here to see a brief descendent chart for Johnson McKinney. Marcelle's hope is that you will find something of interest in your own family research.
